¹⁴ But he was not willing to listen to her voice. He was stronger than she, and he forced her and lay with her.

¹⁵ Then Amnon hated her very deeply,^[a] for the hatred with which he hated her was greater than the love with which he had loved her. So Amnon said to her, “Get up and go.” ¹⁶ She said to him, “No, because this evil in sending me away is greater than the other you have done to me.” But he was not willing to listen to her.
